Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location:
East Midlands, Derbyshire, Derby
Job Type:
Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:
£350.00 - £400.00 Per day
Job Duties:
- Conducting cost estimates and preparing tender documents
- Managing project costs within budget
- Performing risk and value management
- Advising on procurement strategy
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
- Allocating work to subcontractors
- Providing advice on contractual claims
- Evaluating variations in the project
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Professional membership with RICS or CIOB
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Education:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Water / Civils experience
NEC form of contract experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant surveying software
- Good communication and negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Additional certifications in project management
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional site visits
- Regular working hours with potential for overtime
- Travel to project sites may be required
- Collaboration with clients, contractors, and project teams
