Education Recruitment Consultants – Preston
Secondary, Nursery and SEND
Basic salary to £35K + commission, benefits
TLDR: Location: Preston
Salary: to £35K, realistic will be c£25K if you don't have education recruitment experience
Hours: usual education early starts 7am - 4/5pm depending on shift
Work location: office 4pdw, home 1dpw, school holidays work from home, shorter hours
Commission: Range 10% to 23% after small threshold
Training: Classroom + on the job with the manager
Reason for vacancy: Expansion in business
Progression: Promotion to Team Leader
Mindset: work hard, earn well, open to training and learning, provide a consistently good service to schools and teachers

Education recruitment is a rewarding sector, perfect if you want to become a trusted recruitment partner to your clients. (It’s also renowned for having THE best holiday allowances alongside reduced working hours over the school holidays with no reduction in salary – but shhhh, don’t tell everyone!)
It’s a fast paced and ever-changing day during term time, with early starts and some late finishes across the week, and a full territory-based recruitment role; sales, business development, candidate interviews and placement, client visits.
Your hard work is rewarded well in commission (it's not unheard of to be taking home £60K+), a dynamic team environment, career progression, (and those holidays!). This is more than just a Recruitment “numbers” role; you will see the benefits of your hard work every week when you visit schools and see your teachers in action.
For this client, I’m looking for three people to join a high achieving team.
Ideally you will be experienced in education recruitment or similar high volume temps recruitment and not afraid of the phone. Give me a call and I can tell you more around expectations of desk growth and how to achieve this.
I need to speak to:
- a tenacious recruitment consultant to start off another Secondary patch
- an extremely well organised, efficient, patient and bubbly recruitment consultant for a nursery nurse and early years desk
- a recruitment consultant interested in SEND and the nuances in this market for a new SEND desk (supported by a manager with experience in this sector). Good transferable skills are recruitment consultants from social care/complex care markets
