Title: Forklift Driver Counterbalance (Temporary) – Lichfield
Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Driver Counterbalance to join our client's team in Lichfield. This temporary role is based in the Industrial industry and offers an excellent hourly pay rate ranging from £12.00 to £12.50.
As a Forklift Driver Counterbalance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse or industrial setting. Your precision, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and productivity will be highly valued by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a Counterbalance Forklift to load, unload, stack, and move products and materials as required.
- Perform physical tasks such as manual material handling, palletizing, and general warehouse duties.
- Conduct regular inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant authorities.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow inventory control procedures and accurately document all movements.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift License.
- Proven experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift, preferably within an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in safe loading, unloading, stacking, and movement of products and materials.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when following instructions and completing documentation.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items when required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
