Are you a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with Acute and Medicine experience?

Our client has an exciting new role available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within a well-established NHS trust in Exeter, Devon. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering preferred full-time hours per week with the placement due to end at the end of March.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute and General Medicine Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping patients admitted for acute medical conditions or general medical care to regain their independence and improve their overall quality of life through assessment and treatment. Applying therapists should have previous experience in a similar setting as well as up to date essential training must be completed.

Duties within this role will include:

• Managing own caseload
• Working within a multidisciplinary team
• Monitoring patient progress
• Complex discharge planning
• Being legally and professional responsible for own work

To be considered for this role you must:

• Be HCPC registered
• Hold the relevant degree/qualifications
• Have previous experience in a similar role
• Able to work well within a multidisciplinary team
