Maxxima have recently partnered with a leading healthcare provider. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service. This post is based in Windsor, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:
As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Biomedical Scientist:

• Troubleshoot and investigate laboratory issues including initiation and investigation of non-conforming events where required
• Provide training and overseeing competence for junior staff
• Work closely with blood sciences team to perform speedy and accurate processing of samples, validation of results, training and supervision of junior members of the team enabling provision of a high-quality blood sciences service for laboratory users

What we are looking for in a Senior Biomedical Scientist:

• Have 5+ years’ experience in clinical diagnostic Haematology, Biochemistry and Immunology
• HCPC registration
• Experience with a wide array of analysers both point of care and laboratory based
• Experience in writing technical SOP’s.
