Job Description:
SET Recruitment is a leading education recruitment agency in Wales, specialising in placing exceptional teachers in schools across the country. We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Biology Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Cardiff.
The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching Biology and the ability to inspire and engage students through interactive and innovative teaching methods. As a Biology Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing and developing students' understanding of the subject matter, as well as preparing them for examinations and future careers in scientific fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Biology lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to the individual needs of students.
- Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for English literature.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective teaching strategies and share best practices.
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for success.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Biology or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Biology at key stage 3 and 4 in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential in Biology.
- Organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver well-structured lessons.
Working Hours:
- This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, following the school's operating hours.
