• Ability to support children within the classroom setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Job Description : We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Launceston. This role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs within their classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN students and possess a compassionate and patient demeanor. Responsibilities include providing one-to-one support, assisting with classroom activities, and implementing strategies to facilitate student learning and inclusion.

Candidates must have relevant experience working with SEN students and hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to SEN students within the classroom
• Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualised learning plans
• Support students with their academic and social development
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with classroom teachers, SENCO, and parents/carers
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures
