Job description
Would you like to put that psychology degree to good use with a national mental health charity? This charity supports people with mental health support needs back into employment. It’s a hybrid role (3 days office / 2 days home). They have won awards for being a great place to work (investors in people) and really support their staff.
You will be based within an NHS service receiving referrals direct from the NHS for people who have low to medium mental health support needs (typically anxiety / depression) who need support to secure employment. Or they might currently be employed and need to look for new opportunities (if their current role is not suitable).
You will hold around 19 one to one meetings a week. Typically, 5 of these are assessing people new to the service. Finding out what their needs and goals are. And putting in place a plan on how you can support them. The other 14 sessions will be one to one advice and guidance sessions covering anything from CV writing, job searching to interview techniques as well as delivering group work shops.
To apply, ideally you will have experience of supporting people with mental health support needs in some capacity. Or you might be a recent graduate with a relevant degree (such as psychology) looking to get your first step on the career ladder. You might have previously worked as a support worker, hostel worker, recruitment consultant, employment advisor, job coach, work coach or residential support worker.
Please apply via this advert. Everyone gets a response. If you would like to speak to someone over the phone, feel free to call the office and ask for James (number on the Red 5 People website).
