Occupational Hygienist
Rate: Negotiable
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day WFH)
Contract Length: 6 months, Inside IR35
Clearance: BPSS required
About the Role
We're seeking an Occupational Hygienist for a 6-month contract, incorporating a flexible hybrid work model (onsite and WFH). As an integral part of our team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth occupational hygiene assessments and surveys.
Identify and assess workplace hazards, spanning chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic factors.
Recommend and implement control measures to mitigate health risks.
Provide expert guidance on the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with occupational hygiene standards.
Offer expert advice on occupational health and safety matters.
Conduct regular monitoring and sampling of workplace environments.
Generate clear and concise reports outlining findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Occupational Hygiene or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of occupational hygiene principles, standards, and legislation.
Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
Strong understanding of workplace hazards and their impact on health.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-specialists.
Relevant certifications and qualifications in occupational hygiene.
Working Arrangement:
This position follows a hybrid working model: 4 days on-site, 1 day WFH.
Clearance:
The successful candidate will need to obtain BPSS clearance.
