Job description

It is an exciting time to join Signet Jewelers, having undergone a significant digital transformation to become a digital first retailer we are now seeking an IT Business Analyst (Data) who will ensure we have up-to-date information to continue and support the organizations success and agility.

As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in engaging with business stakeholders to understand their data, reporting, and information requirements. Reporting into the Back-Office Delivery Manager within our IT Delivery and Transformation team, your primary focus will be on our reporting systems but there will also be an element of business analysis for non-reporting requirements when needed. With your expertise, you will help bring the data to life and advise the business on data analysis opportunities which will help drive future efficiencies and growth.

Responsibilities:

To comprehend the business and information needs of the organisation or our clients and translate them into documented BI / analytics / reporting requirements for the reporting team to build off.
Accurately gather, understand, and document the requirements and benefits to a suitable and sufficient level to enable understanding in detail of the delivery and the priority of the delivery.
Bring a proactive approach to potential process re-engineering, internal control objectives, and best practices to tackle business needs, identify and solve problems, and improve service levels.
To lead and partner with the business to identify data opportunities and drive transformation.
Visualising data and presenting retail trends to stakeholders in a way that can be digested by the business.
About you:

Strong general business analysis skill set.
Experience of working with data, data requirements and provisioning.
Ability to bridge the divide between a hardcore database techie and a business user.
Familiar with standard BA tools and outputs.
PowerBi skills where you can assist the business and create reports.
Stakeholder management skills both internal and external.
Agile / Waterfall delivery methods.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
It would be desirable to have Retail experience.
