As a Data Technologist at Sword, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for harnessing the power of data to drive insights and innovation. You will work closely with our clients to gather, analyse, and interpret data, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities to optimize business processes and enhance decision-making capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and requirements
- Design and implement data models, databases, and data processing systems
- Develop algorithms and statistical models to analyze data and extract valuable insights
- Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Build data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate findings
- Identify and provide recommendations for process improvements and data-driven solutions
This specific opportunity will have an engineering bias and therefore experience with the domain solutions detailed below will be a distinct advantage.
- Responsible for data centric engineering systems and tools, including application of new and emerging technologies, to enhance project and operational safety and efficiency
- Ensure standard asset information requirements (AIR) are defined and maintained
- Coordinate and interface with contractor and supplier teams to ensure project information requirements (PIR) and exchange information requirements (EIR) are in place to meet objectives for populating asset information models (AIM)
- Provide systems administration for Hexagon tools including S3D, SPID, SEL, SI, SDx, Smart Completions, Ecosys, and Leica reality capture (surveys, laser scanning, photogrammetry)
- Create and maintain engineering tags and registers in accordance with procedures
- Collect engineering tag attribute data through ongoing modifications, projects and data improvement initiatives in accordance with defined quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Management
- Proven experience with data analysis, data modeling, and data manipulation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to effectively work with cross-functional teams
- Comprehensive knowledge of current Information Management technologies, specifications, processes, and standards (e.g ISO-19650, ISO-19526, ISO-14224, CFIHOS, COBie, etc) •
- Demonstrated experience in managing and using enterprise engineering management systems and tools (BIM, 3D, 2D, CAD, etc) •
- Knowledge and understanding of key engineering information (P&IDs, electrical, instrument, layouts, data sheets, isometrics, registers, BOMs, etc) •
- Strong analytical skills, including application of advanced data analysis (Excel, Power BI, etc)
