Job description

Our client is looking to recruit a Process Engineer and a Senior Process Engineer on a contract basis.

12 Month Contract

Role Description          

To assess the potential contents of the tanks from the presepctive of:

Explosion hazards (DSEAR assessment)

Chemical hazards (chemotoxic assessments)

To define suitable mitigating measures to ensure characterisation can be undertaken safely and to support definition of the removal procedure.

This will encompass engagement with a range of stakeholders and specialists.

Essential Experience & Qualifications    

Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline)

Proactive and driven approach to work.

Good communication skills and ability to work with other team members / disciplines

Competent report writing skills: clearly and concisely reporting findings.

Comfortable working under time and cost constraints.

Experience of dealing with chemical & chemotoxic hazards

Desirable Experience & Qualifications / Additional information (e.g Radiological Status Requirements)    

Chartered Chemical Engineer with IChemE/EC.

Experience of nuclear industry design delivery

Experience with Sellafield Ltd checking and approval procedure

DSEAR / hydrogen management experience.
