What you will do at TDI:
Utilise your experience to analyse, define and implement supplier and commodity strategy and sourcing.
Ensuring the efficient management of contracts, negotiations and compliance.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to secure optimal contract terms while minimizing risks.
Engage with cost engineering to ensure the very best prices, quality and negotiations are available to the purchasing team.
This position will play a vital role in implementing and contributing to the future strategy for TDI and will enable opportunities to cooperate with different business areas.
A hands-on working level approach to support the buyers’ daily activities whilst the project and the team grows.
Support representation of purchasing in project reviews to make sure cross functional alignment on build and delivery time frames.
What to expect:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain contract requirements and provide expert guidance on contract terms and conditions, developing a strong effective relationship to represent the purchasing team in this area.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Report findings and provide guidance to the buyers to support making changes where necessary.
Act as the main point of contact for all contracted-related inquiries and dispute resolution.
Maintain accurate records of all contracts and relevant documentation.
Conduct thorough contract reviews to identify potential risks and recommend necessary changes.
Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal. Working with the buyer on commercial terms to ensure alignment across commodities.
Lead contracting with the support of internal teams including legal and finance.
Supporting the buyers on supplier escalations and contractual claims to create and implement mitigation plans and prevent further risk to the business.
Drive engagement and take ownership with engineering to make sure any supply base changes, including software, and or, timelines are communicated to the supplier. Working with the suppliers on quotations and delivery timeframes. Engaging with the buyers to understand any implications which may impact the purchasing of hardware and the deliverables.
Attend key supplier reviews with the buyers and support any urgent escalation meetings.
Support improvement and implementation of current procurement and supply chain processes.
Mentor and develop direct reports and ensure we have identified any gaps in skillsets and training needs to enable us to remain a high performing team.
Who you are:
Senior level experience in supply chain procurement/commercial management for at least 7 years.
Strong commercial contractual experience from the start of the process, identifying contract needs to the end of the process execution and renewal.
An analytical and problem-solving approach with an understanding of cost structure and supply chain fact based commercial negotiation.
Highly knowledgeable with compliance in commercial law and regulations.
Experienced working with software design and requirements alongside engineering and the supply chain.
Strong flexible team player with a growth and development mindset
Excellent communicator with influencing skills for working both internally and externally within the supply chain.
Experience in using ERP systems.
Strength with MS office software
Mentoring and leadership skills to support and develop the team as it grows.
