Job description
- Business development and engagement to secure sustained income growth in line with the Office for Students Apprenticeship Development funding.
- Deliver and evaluate within an accelerated timeframe a business development plan with the aim of identifying and securing quality apprenticeship employer partners able to meet compliance thresholds and a September 2024 intake.
- Host employer information events (in person and virtual) for new L6 apprenticeship standards as identified in Office for Students Apprenticeship Development funding including but not limited to Civil Engineering, Emergencies and Resilience Professional and Civil Engineer standards in collaboration with the Apprenticeship Hub and Schools.
- Act as Business Development Team lead to the Apprenticeship Development Project including updating the Project Board on the combined Business Development Coordinator and external Digital Marketing Consultancy planning activity and achievement
- Support bid management in relation to Civil Engineering, Emergencies & Resilience Professional and Digital Marketer standards and the formalisation of tender and proposal writing processes for Apprenticeship and other commercial opportunities.
- Analyse data from a variety of qualitative and quantitative sources including local economic observatory data, netnographic research and procurement platform contract cycles to inform routes to market
- To work with the University’s marketing, student recruitment and communications teams to develop innovative, engaging and effective marcomms plans to promote and sustain the accelerated development of the new standards.
- Support the development of the Business Development Coordinator through embedding knowledge and on-the-job training to create enhanced team resilience post-project
- To lead a business engagement working group to ensure opportunities are communicated between internal stakeholder groups. Motivate all members of the Apprenticeship Hub, the wider business engagement group and School colleagues to feed-in and share any commercial intelligence and promote the offer through their networks.
- To maintain and develop professional networks and partnerships with national, regional and local organisations, in order to identify and maximise business development opportunities in relation to the new L6 standards.
- Comply with relevant legislative and other requirements (e.g., the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR; Health and Safety; UKVI; and Equality and Diversity) in all working practices
- Such other duties temporarily or on a continuing basis, as may reasonably be required.
