Centre Manager - Facilities Management

Join an exciting and dynamic team as the Centre Manager for a large and vibrant shopping center Middlesbrough. As a key player in the retail landscape, they are committed to delivering an exceptional shopping experience and fostering a thriving retail community. They are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking professional to lead thr team and contribute to the success of the Shopping Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall performance and profitability of the shopping center.
- Provide visionary leadership to meet the evolving needs of the retail environment and the local community.

- Operational Management:

- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the shopping center.
- Manage tenant relationships, leasing activities, and optimise retail space utilization.
- Lead and motivate a dedicated team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive shopping environment.

- Financial Management:

- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and cost-effectiveness is maintained.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive financial success.

- Stakeholder Engagement:

- Cultivate strong relationships with tenants, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
- Represent the shopping center in the local community, building positive relationships with businesses and residents.

- Marketing and Promotion:

- Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive footfall and increase sales.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging events and promotional activities.

- Health and Safety Compliance:

- Ensure the shopping center complies with all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Implement and oversee emergency response plans and crisis management policies.

- Tenant Management:

- Facilitate effective communication with tenants, addressing concerns and promoting collaboration.
- Manage lease negotiations, renewals, and compliance with contractual agreements.

Person Specification:

- Proven experience as a Centre Manager or similar role in a large shopping center.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving targets and enhancing the shopping center's performance.
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and build positive community engagement.
- Knowledge of retail trends, market analysis, and understanding of customer expectations.
- Adept at financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications / Training:

- Tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record in retail management.
- Knowledge of property management and leasing practices.
