What you will do in your working day

Join us, and you'll gain experience that will give you an excellent understanding of the industry. Our welcoming design office is where you'll team up with experienced professionals, soaking up their knowledge and benefiting from their guidance. 

Here's what you'll get up to: 

• Assisting with scoping calculations and diving into supporting analysis
• Crafting detailed models and drawings that bring ideas to life
• Producing design-based documentation and technical reports that resonate with our clients  

You'll also get the chance to explore different parts of our business through varied placements, ensuring you get a full picture of what we do.  

Once you've completed the apprenticeship, you'll be well-positioned to take on roles within our design team, with a wealth of experience and a network of colleagues to support your future growth and opportunities.

The training you will be getting

You’ll receive practical and theoretical training, combined with company-specific training given in the workplace.     

At Wigan & Leigh College, you'll work towards the Level 5 Nuclear Technician (Elec) Apprenticeship, preparing you for a successful career in the nuclear sector. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will move into a substantive position within the business.
