Job description

Reporting to the Bid Director, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join a leading specialist in our field, constructing Steel projects up to £20million.

The role will be based in our Poole Office.

Applicant

You will be an experienced Bid Manager and have proven ability in all aspects of the estimating and sales process, including the management of tenders. In particular, you will have had responsibility for securing orders from clients, have a commercial and contractual understanding of tenders and projects together with an understanding of specifications, steel products and steel construction. You will be able to meet clients, contractors, engineers and be able to communicate and deal with their tenders, plus be able to discuss requirements downstream with our supply chain. The management of tenders and dealing with client requirements is a pivotal requirement.

Your background and experience will most likely have been with a specialist steelwork contractor.

The Bid Manager works in close collaboration with others in the bid delivery team, and with the operational delivery teams, so teamwork, self-motivation and initiative are important attributes.
