We have an opportunity for an Electrician.

Reporting to Senior Operations Manager/ Project Manager, the role will involve the undertaking of electrical testing and minor electrical works on various MoD sites across Scotland. The works generally entail maintenance, construction and refurbishment works to current MoD sites.

The primary role of this electrician will be ensuring that the projects are carried out fully compliant to all relevant Health & Safety legislation and contract conditions. The most critical conditions being that all work is completed to a high standard, in a safe working manner, within programme and to the satisfaction of our client.

Primarily working with our valued ‘Defence Industry’ Client you will be responsible for carrying out various electrical tasks.

Skills:

Essential
• A certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations 18th Edition
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications
• A minimum of two years experience working in a role as an electrician, preferably within a military or commercial environment
• Ability to use IT systems.
• Knowledge in Health & Safety legislation and compliance.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and be an active part in the team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
• You must hold a full current UK driving licence.
Desirable
• Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
• First Aid at Work
• PAT Testing trained
