Robertson Bell are excited to announce their partnership with this established educational institution as they go to market for a Tax Specialist on a permanent basis. In this newly created role, you will report into a highly experienced line manager, benefit from a plethora of development opportunities and hold a broad range of responsibilities relating to all things tax!

In this Tax Specialist role, you will:

• Provide support to the wider organisation by answer queries and offering guidance on all tax related matters
• Support the Senior Tax Specialist on VAT and corporation tax for several subsidiaries by drafting initial submissions for review
• Take responsibility for identifying tax recoverability for several subsidiaries, and provide tax related contributions towards the statutory accounts
• Play a pivotal role in registering the organisation internationally, ensuring to follow their tax requirements, to help the growth and development of the institution.

Based in Brighton, the successful candidate will benefit from a hybrid working pattern, requiring you to go into the office just twice a week, in addition to a generous pension, competitive annual leave allowance and development opportunities.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a thorough understanding of VAT and have experience providing advice relating to VAT to non-financial stakeholders
• Have a working knowledge of corporation tax and been keen to specialise in this area
• Come from a university, charitable organisation or accounting firm, however candidates with experience in other sectors are still encouraged to apply
• Be a confident communicator and be able to provide support to non-financial stakeholders
