Job Title: HR Manager.
Department: Don Valley Engineering.
Reporting to: Managing Director.
Salary: Depending on experience.
Benefits: Contributory pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Base: Site Based, on-site at Doncaster with travel to sites as and when required.

A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as we are looking to appoint an HR Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR function and be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
- Maintain and secure the ‘Personnel’ files on staff in line with the data protection and GDPR
- Develop succession planning for the business and ensure this is regularly updated
- Review and update as necessary all HR-related policies and procedures across all the businesses on an ongoing basis
- Liaise cooperatively and effectively with all other company departments and businesses in support of strategic and departmental objectives
- Coach and develop Company line managers to ensure they are aware of the Company code of conduct, company procedures, legal requirements, and HR best practice
- Establish quantitative KPIs monitoring HR statistics including, but not limited to, attendance, timekeeping, sickness, staff retention/turnover, disciplinary issues, working hours
- Support line managers in carrying out disciplinary and grievance investigations
- Support the line managers with the Performance and Development Review (PDR) process as per the company procedure
- Manage all Employee relations and disputes including, Disciplinaries and Grievances, Welfare Case Reviews and OH referrals
- Develop and implement the HR Strategies aligned with the business objectives
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including writing job descriptions, booking interviews, and facilitating their onboarding process
- Ensure that company policies are implemented and updated to comply with legal obligations
- Nurture a positive working environment
- This is a very hands-on operational HR role
- This is a stand-alone role within a SME reporting to a Managing Director
Qualifications/Experience/Skills: - CIPD or equivalent qualification is preferred
- HR Experience 5 Years minimum, in a generalist role (Engineering sector desirable)
- Proven experience as an HR Manager in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Good knowledge of UK employment law
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
