We are looking for a ServiceNow Developer for our client based in Leeds, UK (3days Mandatory to office in a week),
As this position is for public sector client, we are looking for only ILR/British citizens who is eligible for Security clearance and we open for Both permanent/Contract (OutsideIR35).
Job Description
As a Service Now Developer, you will be joining a newly established Run and Change' team to support a prestigious public sector client. You will be working within a small team of Service Now professionals as part of a wider technical service desk team delivering changes and providing support to the ServiceNow platform for the service desk team and wider government department who use it.
You will work closely with the Product Manager, Senior Developer and wider service teams, both internally and customer facing, to ensure the ServiceNow platform provides the capability required to support our clients needs. You will be involved in defining and delivering user stories, resolving incidents and testing and promoting major releases.
As the ServiceNow Developer, you'll be joining at an exciting time, enabling you to bring your experience to bare and help shape a basic implementation of the tool for our central government critical national service as it rolls out.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to help us on this journey.
You will:
- Provide software coding and development including, but not limited to screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, Scripting, third party software integrations
- Deliver high-quality solutions that are fit for purpose through analysis and challenging unnecessary customisation, focusing on a development and deployment approach that delivers value to the business whilst retaining flexibility to support changing business needs
- Demonstrable expert knowledge and skills to create capabilities to drive Self-service and automation. (Service Portal, Orchestration, Integration Hub)
- Successfully plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the platforms
- Evaluate emerging ServiceNow technologies and the evolution of current functionality to define roadmaps to meet business needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects following agreed procedures and ServiceNow® good practice principles
- Create and update documentation relating to incidents, changes and designs as required
- Work closely with the project team including Product Manager, Project Manager, Architects and BA's
Experience
- Experience as a key technical resource for the development of the ServiceNow platform around any of the following areas CSM (Customer Service Management), ITSM (IT Service Management), ITOM (IT Operations Management), ITAM (IT Asset Management), Integrations WSD (Workplace Service Delivery), HRSD (Human Resource Service Delivery)
- Understanding of the development of APIs and web service integrations with ServiceNow
- knowledge and skills of creating capabilities for Self-service and automation. (Service Portal, Orchestration)
- Sound technical knowledge of ServiceNow® integration using web services and other web-based technologies
- Experience in coding and Scripting
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, communication, and presentation skills
- Good understanding of ITIL processes and best practice approaches
- Delivery experience including coding, testing aligned to best practice
