Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Transport Maintenance Manager to manage and provide technical oversite of maintenance delivery. You will be line managing and developing maintenance staff, ensure company assets are maintained in a way to ensure that the site and its residents are kept safe, clean and secure and ensure all assets are compliant to licence conditions and legislation.
Location - Reading area
Package - £44,990 - £64,000 (dependant on suitability and level of experience)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the Transport Workshop maintenance team.
Act as the SME for vehicle and plant technical issues.
Act as the focal point for all vehicle maintenance and facility issues.
Maintain awareness of all projects with the potential to impact maintenance delivery or capability.
Develop, monitor and manage the team to meet workshop and operational requirements.
Support workforce planning and recruitment activities.
Ensure competency and currency of the team to meet daily maintenance activities and operations.
Ensure suitability and availability of workshop facilities and equipment.
Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance within the workshop facility.
Support and advise the Transport Manager on maintenance requirements and initiatives.
Act as AWE lead to ensure ATF compliance.
Act as AWE lead to ensure effective support to vehicle post delivery support contracts, vehicle working groups and other customer requirements.
Monitor and champion technical innovation, ensuring stakeholders and line management are aware of changes in the vehicle engineering field.
Actively promote and manage maintenance and reliability engineering techniques and processes.
We would love to hear from qualified Engineers (ONC/HNC/Level 4) with the ability to get the very best out of Maintenance Teams and continue developing their careers. We are always looking to improve processes at AWE so if you have previously implemented continuous improvement exercises, this would be highly desirable.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
