Interim Social Worker

Pay Rate: up to £38.55 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 3-4 months
City: POOLE
Enhanced DBS disclosure required
Manage social work caseload of more complex nature and with high levels of autonomy. Provide expert professional and technical advice to other Social Workers, managers, colleagues, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional supervision of other Social Workers, supporting caseload management and promoting reflective practice and continuous professional development.
Demonstrate skilled use of range of frameworks for assessment and intervention.
Model and help others develop social work professionalism and effective caseload management.
Establish network of internal and external colleagues to support effective practice.
Prepare court proceeding reports acting as expert testimony in Care or Private Order proceedings.
Participate in Panel processes.
Chair professional meetings with inter-agency partners and clients.
Produce management information and analysis.
Participate in team planning and contribute to the delivery of team and service plans.

Unless the DBS requirement stated above is for a Basic Disclosure, your DBS must be either through us or be accompanied by a subscription to the DBS updating service.
Qualifications:
Advanced professional social work qualification (or equivalent experience) with clearly evidenced CPD
Must be registered with the GSCC.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant statutory social work legislation.
Knowledge of the issues relating to the well-being of service users covering a wide range of clients.
Good knowledge of ICT, including word, outlook, word and other programmes relevent to the role
Experience:
Social work experience in local government, voluntary or independent sector.
Direct experience of working with relevant client groups, especially those from different racial & cultural backgrounds.
Experienced in Fostering Assessments.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to initiate, draft & produce reports.
Ability to deal with / record casework, communicate effectively with client groups & professionals in order to assess client needs.
Ability to attend & organise case conferences & reviews for the purpose of assessing & monitoring the development of service users.
Ability to develop person-centred care plans.
Ability to deal with conflict and complaints.
