Job description
Following a great investment in theatres there is an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 or a Band 6 nurse or ODP looking for a new challenge within theatres to apply for a Practice Development Practitioner post. In Theatres we are proud of the safe and effective care which we deliver. We are now looking for a flexible, self-motivated, experienced Theatre Practitioner to take on this exciting and challenging role in our team. We have three sites in Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe and Amersham including both Emergency and Elective surgery sites for the Trust. We support operations across a range of specialities including ENT, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Plastic Surgery and General Surgery . We have recently started Robotic surgery which is an exciting time for Theatres.
If you are dynamic and enthusiastic about coaching, teaching and supporting the professional development of all grades of theatre staff, then this opportunity is for you.
You will be required to support the Practice Development Lead and Theatre Management to develop clinical competence and ensure a high delivery of safe and compassionate care to our patients. You will also need to have a basic understanding of IT skills in order to be able to analyse and present data to demonstrate compliance of training within theatres.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Practice Development Nurse/ODP within Theatres within the newly expanded Practice Development team following investment in the workforce. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has a passion for education & teaching.
This will be a full time position and will involve supporting new starters, international nurses, and the continued education and development of the theatre team. Working closely with the Senior Nursing Team and PDP leads to review and identify training needs of the clinical team.
The role will also support clinical education and training in house.
