Job description
The River Waveney Trust is seeking a new Treasurer to help guide and manage the finances and the future vision and strategic development of the charity. The Rivers Trusts are a forward thinking and proactive movement with huge potential
What will you be doing?We are seeking a volunteer Treasurer to join our board of trustees. We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and committed individual who is keen to make an active contribution to the Trust. The role would be suitable for a qualified and experienced accountant ideally with knowledge of the charity sector. We are also seeking someone who has the ability to operate at a strategic level. We would like to recruit a diverse range of new trustees and welcome applications from younger candidates and those with transferable skills from other roles.
We meet 6 times a year for a full trustee meeting with occasional sub-committee meetings in-between. Meetings are usually held in Harleston, Norfolk, so we ask that you are able to reach this location, although some are still held online. We meet in the evenings at 7pm.
What are we looking for?We are seeking a qualified accountant, with knowledge of the charity sector. We would also like to ensure that all our trustees are good team listeners, proactive during meetings, able to give the time to read documents outside meeting hours, have ambition for our Trust and can think strategically about how to achieve this ambitions.
