Job Title: Full Stack Developer
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 DOE
Location: Remote (occasional travel to South Wales)
Job Purpose & Objectives:
As a Full Stack Developer, you'll be integral to the organisation's automation initiatives, reporting directly to the Head of Automation. We need someone with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience, who can deliver scalable, high-quality applications. Your focus on React and MySQL will be crucial in shaping their technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability applications using React and other relevant technologies.
Implement complex data models and business logic with MySQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and improvements.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development to enhance application quality and performance.
Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and adhere to best practices in software development.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, providing solutions that are efficient and scalable.
Be adaptable to rapidly changing requirements in a dynamic startup environment.
Ensure compliance with security and data protection regulations.
Key Skills and Experience:
Develop scalable, high-availability applications using React and other relevant technologies to meet business requirements.
Implement complex data models and business logic using MySQL, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in software development to continually improve application quality and performance.
Actively participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing sessions, and adhere to best practices in software development.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, providing efficient and scalable solutions to identified issues.
Adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements in a dynamic startup environment.
Ensure that all development activities comply with security and data protection regulations.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with various database technologies such as NoSQL, PostgreSQL, etc., would be advantageous.
Knowledge of cloud services, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, as well as experience with CI/CD pipelines, is desirable.
Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes would be a plus.
