The purpose of this position is to be responsible for coordinating a range of high-profile activities for mutual benefit with key stakeholders to achieve the strategic objectives of the DACP KERI as set out in the plan. Activities will include events, symposium, focus groups to develop concept notes and following up on external funding opportunities.
Each of the four incubators has a unique composition and direction of travel, and will require different kinds of input and support, from organising internal meetings and external events, to horizon scanning for appropriate funding, to drafting of concept notes and bids in any or all these thematic categories, including help designing specific events designed to engage with key stakeholders.
This role will enable the development greater understanding and knowledge of university research practices and procedures, and the stages of the research and knowledge exchange funding processes in Higher Education more generally, as well as contributing to the successful launch of the new KERI for Design Art and Creative Practice University which will build upon the work of these incubators.
The Incubator’s primary objectives are to build research and knowledge exchange funding capacity in the DACP KERI, and the key aim of this role is to support the delivery of that objective. There may also be an opportunity to participate in the development of a bid or bids of their choosing, with the possibility of creating a role within a successful funded project in future.
The successful candidate will possess a degree or equivalent level qualification, or equivalent work experience in an Arts and/or Humanities Discipline. Knowledge and experience of managing events from concept to completion, tailoring content to audience preferences, including managing event budget and marketing.Excellent IT abilities, including knowledge and experience of Research Funding websites and opportunities.Good understanding and awareness of data regulations (GDPR), Competition and Markets Authority legislation, and health and safety regulations.

This is a part time (22.2 hours per week), fixed term role until 31 July 2024 with a starting salary of £22,587.60 per annum (60% pro rata to £37,646.00 per annum).
