The Solar PV Design Engineer role is an exciting opportunity within our booming Solar department, offering you a successful, long-term career with fantastic growth opportunities... and comes with a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 annually, PLUS bonus incentives.

The position will be located in our Swansea head office.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Outlining high-quality electrical designs for Solar PV systems, from feasibility to handover.
• Submissions of DNO applications, dealing with design queries, and providing compliant design solutions.
• Work within a team of technical designers, project managers, and project communicators, to propose cost-effective and detailed technical designs meeting client specifications.
• Lead design meetings to establish brief and project requirements and collaborate with the electrical operational and project manager.
• Provide support to any internal queries regarding Solar PV's.
• Give guidance to junior designers.
• Keep up-to-date with relevant technologies to advise the company on technology choices.
• Support the design of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and useful workplace.

Qualifications:

• Electrical qualification.
• 3+ years' experience working on Solar PV projects on a domestic or commercial level.
• Proven experience using CAD software to produce technical designs.
• Previous experience working with Solar PV batteries and parts list beneficial.
• Relevant experience in DNO applications.

• A self-starter.
• Eager to improve knowledge and skills, keeping up with the latest technologies.
• Able to work effectively in a team.
