Freelance Opportunity

Cultural Champions is a national training programme, predominately aimed at primary teachers to develop and evolve the strategic direction of creative and cultural learning in their school. Now in its fourth year, the programme provides professional development to middle leaders, teachers or other staff who are interested in making change happen within creative learning, by developing confidence, skills and knowledge of affecting change within creative learning in their setting and possibly beyond. There is no charge to participants or their schools for taking part in the programme.

The Area Coordinator role supports the Programme Leader in the delivery of each training module, both online and in-person, and acts as the main conduit between the ROH Schools Programme Manager, the Programme Leader and the Cultural Champions cohort. While the Programme Leaders takes overall responsibility for planning and delivery of session content, the Area Coordinator provides administrative support and leads on all liaison with teachers in their assigned cohort. They may also be expected to present and/or co-lead certain aspects of the sessions and will undertake advance co-planning with the Programme Leader prior to each module.

The Area Coordinator commitment is a total of 17.5 days (up to 8 hours a day) and the rate of pay for this work is £250 per day, or £3,250 for the entire contract.
