Job Description
The Ideal Freight Business Development Manager who will be reporting into the Sales Director will have the following skills and attributes:
- Identify and target potential clients and business opportunities across all freight modes (Predominantly Air).
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients and suppliers.
- Develop commercial awareness and identify market conditions to build growth areas.
- Track and report on sales and business development performance and progress.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Foster and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and connections.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Freight Business Development Manager will have the following skills and attributes:
- Commercial Freight experience across Air, Sea and Road (Required)
- Excellent relationship and networking skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills across all levels
- Understanding of industry trends, regulations and market dynamics.
- Excellent customer service and problem solving experience
