Business Development Executive
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Executive to join a UK recognised Awarding body based in Belfast.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (exclusive of lunch breaks). Flexible start/finish times are in operation with core working hours from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
With a salary of £32,306 – £39,027 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for the development and retention of customer relationships across a variety of sectors, through the sales and promotion of the company’s range of products.
Essential Criteria:
• A minimum of 3 years recent experience in a sales role.• Third level qualification preferably in business studies, education, public administration.• Proficient in IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office and other applications/databases.• Demonstrable experience of customer relationship management.• Track record of achieving KPI’s and targets.• Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.• Successful proven track record of negotiating and influencing.• Ability to prioritise, effective time management and organisational skills.• Ability to travel on official duty throughout NI, must have access to a form of transport.
Desirable Criteria:
• Experience of identifying, writing, and submitting successful tenders.• Knowledge of the education and training landscape in NI.• Previous experience of working in an education and training background.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive business opportunities through the sales and promotions.• Establishing and maintaining the relationship, engagement, and performance of revenue streams through existing and new customers.• Promote and sell the full portfolio of the business, products, and services to meet monthly sales targets and KPI’s.• Responsible for the identification and development of propositions, new customers, and markets for growth.• Responsible for the development and implementation of business development and marketing strategies to attract new business, including leads generated by other departments.• Implement a formal Customer Account Review Process.• To maintain and adhere to compliance and audit requirements.• Input specific account management activity and information into relevant systems.• Contribute to qualifications development proposals for new areas of work and assist other members of the Qualifications Development team.• Attend events and exhibitions to promote the business and actively network.• Develop an awareness of competitive landscape and the ability to position the company products effectively.• Work closely with customers to provide a mix of proactive and responsive account management solutions.
