About Our Client
A Fortune 500 company supplying Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) to the wholesale and distribution market. A multinational consumer goods business that manufactures and distributes a wide range of products and serves as a key supplier to wholesalers and distributors, ensuring their products reach retailers and consumers globally.
Job Description
- Primary focus will be centred around the development of the overall business model:
- Evaluation & project management of organic growth opportunities
- Financial appraisal and business case development
- Identification of new ideas & Project pipeline management
- Support inorganic growth appraisal
- Review of potential Disruptor/start-up investments with Ventures team
- Technological & market research
- Strategic/Growth opportunities - new sites, increased capacity
- Large Maintenance Capex - Investments to protect existing operations
- Working with the Development team to evaluate and secure new sites, acquisitions & new ways of working
- Sustainability/Decarbonisation of our operations project appraisal
- Capex project pipeline tracking - Keeping our database up-to-date with the latest information & developments
- Support coordination of commercial projects & initiatives
- The role is primarily UK focused, but may be some requirement to help coordinate/support tasks & projects across the wider West Europe business (UK, France & Spain)
- Ad-hoc financial analysis
The Successful Applicant
- A talented and highly motivated Analyst to fill an exciting brand new role within the UK Business Development team, reporting to the UK Business Development Manager. Supporting the strategic development & growth of the UK organisation, working alongside all functional areas to prepare and evaluate investment opportunities.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS DESIRED:
- Education - University Degree
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite - Excel, Powerpoint, PBI & experience using Smartsheets helpful (but not essential)
- Numerical/Analytical mind
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks & network with wide cross section of people
- Proactive, positive & determined attitude
Willingness to travel across UK as required
