Royalty Reporting Manager

Directors UK is the professional association of UK screen directors. It is a membership organisation representing the creative, economic and contractual interests of over 8,000 members – the majority of working TV and film directors in the UK. Directors UK negotiates rights deals and collects and distributes royalties to its members. It also campaigns and lobbies on its members’ behalf and provides a range of services including legal advice, events and career development. Directors UK works closely with fellow organisations around the world to represent directors’ rights and concerns, promotes excellence in the craft of direction and champions change to the current landscape to create an equal opportunity industry for all.   

Job role and duties:

As a key member of the Distribution Team, this role will assist in the distribution of royalty payments to members, ensuring maximum accuracy and efficiency. This role will manage the reporting arrangements between Directors UK and broadcasters and producers to ensure usage reports are accurate, complete and delivered on time. The role will prepare the usage reports for allocation, provide analysis to inform the Directors UK distribution policy or support other stakeholders. With a continuous improvement mindset, this role will consider alternative tools or ways of improving data quality, streamline processes and keep up to date with industry trends to identify gaps in reporting and track down non-compliant companies. This role will also assist in issuing payments to members and dealing with members' queries relating to their payments or the distribution schemes in a professional and timely manner.

Terms of Employment

Reporting to : Director of Distribution 

Salary : £40,000 

Hours : 9.30am - 5.30pm 

Work Days : Monday - Friday 

Location : We support a flexible, hybrid working approach with an expectation of 50% of working time in our office, and 50% working remotely. Our Directors UK office is at 4th Floor, 22 Stukeley Street, London WC2B 5LR. 

Contract : Full Time permanent
