We are currently looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our friendly team based at Aberthaw in Barry.

Main Responsibilities

The role of Transport Supervisor will be responsible for

• Daily supervision of the team of Drivers, Logistics and Weighbridge staff ensuring key performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved, including service, safety and financial targets.
• Ensure legal and operational compliance with Statutory and Company safety standards, including fleet and drivers.
• Manage internal transport services in accordance with Tarmac Transport Operations Manual.
• Be the daily operational interface with key third party transport partners while on shift.
• Manage daily relationships with the Depot industrial team.
• Assume Transport Manager responsibilities as and when required
• Assume responsibility for the scheduling of customer orders to own and third-party fleet as and when required.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Transport Supervisor will have 3 to 5 years transport management experience, wishing to develop their professional experience in the field of Transport management as well as experience of:

• HND or equivalent is desirable

• CPC qualification (essential)

• IOSH Managing Safety (desirable but can be trained)

• Make day to day decisions regarding the safe and efficient operation of the company vehicle fleet
