Job description

Due to a new customer relocating to our Rockingham eFulfilment facility, the Web, we have identified an opportunity for experienced Team Managers to first line manage a team within the warehouse in order to deliver the expected customer service in terms of quality, cost and lead time, driving productivity.

This is a new role, reporting to a Shift Manager, offering a salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum plus benefits.

Shifts are any 5 from 7 and rotating 06.00am – 14.00pm / 14.00pm – 22.00pm.

How will you contribute?

• Wincanton prioritise Safety above everything and so we need a like-minded individual who will ensure that safe working practices are adopted and observed at all times so as to ensure a safe working environment for everyone on site.
• Our customer is at the heart of what we do and why we do it, we are looking for a manager to guide and optimise the warehouse functions in order to achieve the required standards of cost, efficiency, quality and productivity in all areas. Ensuring the best possible service levels are achieved for our customers.
• A responsible manager who will support the team of operational colleagues covering various shift patterns
• The Wincanton way, we require someone to ensure the site works within legislative and Wincanton requirements, taking account of health & safety, implementing a culture where it is paramount at all times
• Someone proactive who will be responsible for ensuring all working procedures are clearly cascaded, resolving any issues quickly
• A strong manager who will manage absence, conduct and performance in line with the company and site policies and procedures
• Forward thinking able to identify and implement new initiatives that enhance the operation and that add value
• Customer focussed, responsible for the achievement of Key Performance Indicators and delivering a high level on time, on cost, and in line with customer service expectations
• Recruitment and induction of new colleagues providing a welcoming environment
