Axcis Education are pleased to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Poynton who are looking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant.
The role is working across KS3/4 providing additional support for those students who need it. This support may include managing behaviour, reinforcing school structures and guiding with work tasks. The role will based across different classes as and when required. The school is an 11-16 school providing high quality education to the communities of Poynton. With 1500 students on roll, the school is large and this allows them to offer a very wide range of subjects and opportunities beyond the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working across KS3/4 or further education. This could be through working in schools, specialist groups or youth work. The hours are 08.30-15.30, Monday to Friday, term time only. The daily rate of pay is £88-91 depending on experience. Qualifications are not compulsory but would be advantages for your application. You must have a child and adult DBS registered on the update service or be able to get one in to process. On top of this, if you have lived/worked abroad for more than 6 months within the last 5 years, you will require an overseas police check from that country.
