Machine Builder / Service Technician Available Immediately

Manor Royal Business District, Crawley

Hours: Full Time Position, Monday to Friday, Day Shift

Small Manufacturing company looking for someone with Machine building and service experience in an Automation environment.

General Duties to include:

• The core of your duties would be to fit and assemble, various types of automation Equipment. (Packaging Machines, Conveyors, etc.)
• Preparation and fabrication of sub-assemblies (cutting, drilling, grinding, tapping, etc.). for final installation.
• Fit, modify, test, troubleshoot and assemble prefabricated parts to build packaging machinery and Conveyors.
• Install major components such as motors, belts, pneumatics, etc.
• Performance testing of complete machines.
• Prepare units for shipping (add decals, clean, build crates etc).
• Travel to Customers site to install.

Required Skills:

• Machine Assembly/ Automation Maintenance Experience, machine shop experience an asset (mill/lathe)
• Basic understanding of PLC Circuits
• Experience with pneumatics and sensors are a key aspect of this position (cylinders, Valves, etc)
• Fabrication and Fitting Experience
• Hands-on experience working with all types of shop tools
• Able to follow technical drawings and instructions
• Electrical Wiring
• Strong work ethic

Salary: £25,000 - £37,000 per year, to be determined upon skill level.
