Production MIG WELDER
£15.00ph
Hours
6am -2pm Monday to Friday
Production Welder Job Duties:
- Oversees welding machinery setup to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load
- Load and unload material manually or with hoists or cranes, depending on weight and size.
- Ensures welding is conducted to the correct specification/quality and cycle time.
- Performs work by following the company's operating standards and regulations.
- Completes required performance documentation and participates in improvement activities, including workshops.
- Regularly inspects welding machines and L.E.V units for mechanical and safety issues
- Makes sure welding machines remain well-stocked and in good order so that as few interruptions of service as possible exist
- Verifies inventory and places orders as necessary
- Examines Welding quality and output to verify the product is acceptable to move onto the next part of the production process
- Keeps skills sharp by agreeing to engage in future training and development.
- Keeps a focus on safety by helping others to conduct themselves appropriately around operating machinery
- Works a flexible schedule to keep up with production demand during busy production periods
- Pays constant attention to surroundings to reduce accidents and injuries
- Works cordially with team members and supports other areas where and when required
Responsibilities
- To maintain an organised tidy, work area supporting the company’s 5S culture
- Highlight best practice in the manufacturing process
- Report any shortages in the Kanban supplies as per procedure
- Report any non-conformances found within the manufacturing process as per procedure
- Maintain a safe working environment by working to the code of practice as laid down in our H&S manual.
- Engage and contribute with any continuous Improvement activity
