Job description
A highly reputable health club is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of the facility’s operations, ensure exceptional customer service and drive business growth. The Operations Manager will lead a team of dedicated staff members, uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety, and foster a positive and motivating atmosphere for their members. The Operations Manager will need to have previous experience in a similar operations role with a track record of success in driving growth. In addition, you will have strong leadership, communication, and finance-related skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, including fitness trainers, front desk personnel, and cleaning staff
- Set performance goals and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure the team's success
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes employee morale and retention
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and cleanliness standards
- Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to enhance productivity and member satisfaction
- Manage inventory and procurement processes to ensure adequate supplies and equipment availability
- Maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service to members, addressing enquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Implement strategies to enhance member retention and satisfaction, including organising member events, implementing loyalty programs, and gathering feedback.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, such as membership promotions, personal training packages, and retail sales initiatives
- Analyse financial performance metrics and develop strategies to achieve business targets and KPIs
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones
- Monitor sales performance and develop sales initiatives to drive membership growth and meet revenue targets
- Build partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organisations to increase brand awareness and attract new clientele.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications required:
- Have proven experience in a management role, with a track record of success driving growth
- Have strong leadership and managerial skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of budgeting and financial analysis
- Passion for health and fitness, and creating a positive environment
Shifts: 37.5-hour week - some shift cover (up to 2 evenings per week) – 3-week shift pattern (06:30-14:00, 13:30-21:00, 1 in 3 weekends (07:30-15:00)
Salary: £30,000 (OTE up to £35,000)
