Role: Finance Manager – Finance Controls Assurance
Pay Rate: 850 – 900 P/DAY (DOE)
Duration: 12 months – INSIDE IR35
Location: Bristol – Cheese Ln, Bristol BS2 0JJ
What I'll be doing – your accountabilities / Skills required for the job
- Developing and driving delivery of the multi–year financial controls transformation plan
- Defining policies, standards, ways of working and metrics to enable consistent delivery of controls transformation across business units
- Defining and managing the annual financial controls assurance plan to support board sign off of the accounts and completion of disclosures in relation to the effectiveness of financial controls
- Preparing monthly CFO dashboards, biannual risk category reports and board papers to update on the health of the financial control framework
- Providing guidance and support to unit financial control leads
- Identifying and driving realisation of opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial control framework
- Leadership lead multiple virtual teams to drive successful delivery of business outcomes
- Business & Financial acumen: Knowledgeable in the drivers of organisational performance improvement, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy with the ability to be able to influence business performance.
- Matrix working: Comfortable working in a large organisation where activities are managed according to a matrix structure. Able to work collaboratively and manage the time of their team to meet deliverables.
- Communication: translating technical and business challenges to senior leaders and key stakeholders through both oral and written communication. Ability to tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail
- Technical Mindset: ability to understand, dedupe and explain complex controls, both business and IT controls
- Analytical Mindset: ability to cut through swathes of information and pull out key messages/themes, identify issues / root causes, diagnose and/or solve problems
- Ability to Challenge: bias towards bold and confident thinking, challenging the status quo where appropriate
- Pragmatism: able to deal with ambiguity, identify resources to implement and determine pragmatic solutions
- Prioritisation: able to prioritise work and work independently on core deliverables

Mandatory:
- Professionally qualified Accountant, Auditor or Risk Manager
- Demonstrable knowledge and expertise of ICOFR/SOX/COSO frameworks and controls best practices.

- Working with complex IT systems
- SAP systems, particularly GRC
Preferred:
- Telco and/or experience in similar industry
- SOX experience.
