Are you an experienced Vet looking to join a progressive team under new management? Do you want to feel a part of something more, with space to grow your own career in a way that works for you? Due to their ever-expanding case load, a small animal veterinary hospital in Worcestershire are looking for an experienced Vet Surgeon with ideally a preference in surgery.
They are a long-established veterinary hospital based in Worcester, covering primary care, referral that specialise in pets and small animals. Accredited with a silver Cat Friendly Clinic award and RCVS in Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, they can provide the best quality care within their practice. They are also proud to be a training practice, which means they are committed to supporting learning and development.
They have a range of state-of-the-art equipment which includes but is not limited to:
- New Advance Ultrasound Machine (MylabX7VET) with touch-screen display
- Onsite CT Toshiba 64 slice with on-site Diagnostic imager
- In house Referral Service in Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology, Orthopaedics & soft tissue Surgery.
- Laparoscopy surgery kit
- HD video Flexible Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy, Ridged rhinoscopy & arthroscopy
- Rehabilitation Centre with onsite chiropractic, hydrotherapy, underwater incline Treadmill & Class VI laser unit
They have dedicated spaces for:
- Dentals and Dental x-ray unit
- Ultrasound and imaging room
- CD X-ray unit & radiography room
- Sterile surgical unit
- Pre-room and incubation unit
- Separate cat, dog & isolation Wards and waiting rooms
- 3 vet consulting rooms and 1 nurse consulting room
They offer a genuinely flexible working pattern that they believe can be adapted for the individual. Each vet has their own tailored rota pattern to enable them to give their best at work and at home. They try as much as they can to tailor the role to suit your skill set, your areas of interest and your career path, as well as considering how you can insure you have a healthy work life balance. They offer both full and part-time roles, with either 8 or 10 hours shifts. They also have a Saturday morning rota of 1 in 4 (with time paid and a shorter following week), and no OOHs.

They have regular practice meetings to discuss changes and improvements, and they incorporate internal or external CPD in these sessions that are chosen by the staff. They encourage an open, learning experience, to bring out the best in each other, that ethos is spread throughout the whole team clinical & non-clinical.
Role:
- Salary starting at £60,000 DOE
- Either 8 or 10 hours shifts
- Saturday morning rota of 1 in 4 (with time paid and a shorter following week)
