Position Description
The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. CGI are on the hunt for a Business Development Consultant who can pro-actively seek new opportunities both externally and with our current customers.
The role will be predominantly in the Earth Observation Domain however any candidates with experience in Space, Defence, Intelligence, Satellite Communication backgrounds, we would welcome the application!
Please note: Due to the nature of projects with out customers, all candidates must be eligible to undergo SC clearance.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• identify and qualify sales prospects
• build clients relationships and interest, and then develop a solution encompassing CGI services
• actively participate in the sales campaign that results in CGI signing a contract with the client
• assist the client to gain maximum benefit from CGI services
• achieve client satisfaction with and loyalty to CGI.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Previous experience of business development at non-executive levels and developing proposals with a consistently good win rate
• Experience within the satellite remote sensing, geospatial, Defence, Space, Intelligence industries
• Familiarity with software development processes (e.g. Agile, DevOps)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
