Job Details

An opportunity has arisen to join a friendly social housing provider in Portishead. This not-for-profit organisation offer free parking on site, a very generous salary and benefits package, and have a fantastic supportive culture across the company.

The position as a Building Surveyor is a fast paced and dynamic role on a permanent, full time basis. This would primarily involve providing technical support and reports on any building defects. 

Further responsibilities would include:

• Surveying and identifying building defects in customer homes and communal spaces
• Conducting the initial triage and pathology testing for damp and mould cases.
• To work with trade staff and contractors to ensure properties meet deadlines and budget

About you

• A formal Building qualification (BSC/ HNC/ HNC etc)
• Experience of working with damp and mould, response repairs and/or planned works
• Experience of identifying asbestos
• Additional qualifications would also be a advantageous, such as ISOH or in Fire Safety
