Nanny (flexible Hours), Queen’s Park
Working schedule: Approximately 20 weeks (holiday) 08:30 - 6:30 Mon - Fri + 32 weeks (term time) 3pm - 7:30pm Mon-Fri (average 33 hours per week over the year and open to being flexible on this )
Salary: Up to £20 gph + overtime
Start Date: ASAP
Charges: 2 boys, 8 and 5
This family would love to secure an enthusiastic and fun nanny who has the scope to be flexible when it comes to hours worked. This role is an all hands on deck nanny role that will be a mixture of nannying, PA duties and proxy parenting. The Role
- Pick up the boys from school and transport them to after-school activities as needed (Notting Hill) and help with homework and school projects
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for the boys
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks and meals for the boys
- Tidy up and clean the boys' areas and common areas
- Assist with bath and bedtime routines if needed
- Help coordinate and communicate with school if needed and keep parents updated
- Escalate any concerns about the boys to the parents
- Care for them, entertain them and listen to them
- Running errands related to the children. This may be wrapping presents, taking them for haircuts, fitting them for new shoes etc
- Maintaining a schedule of children's activities and appointments
- Liaise with other nannies and parents at the school gates and arrange playdates with approval from the boy’s parents
- Use your initiative to develop engaging activities for the boys in holiday time. Organise the children’s calendar during holidays including researching, organising or booking activities, clubs or playdates
- Happy to participate in sports with the children eg football, tennis
- Organise and coordinate all children’s doctor / dentist / optician appointments as needed, with a high level of awareness of usual illnesses and how to administer medicine and basic first aid
Basic requirements to apply include: an up to date DBS check, the Right to Work in the UK, impeccable English, excellent references from previous employers and First Aid Qualifications.
