About Our Client
My client are a family-run business providing superior building maintenance and glazing services in the Southeast of England. They are looking for a Finance Manager to accompany their Finance Assistant with day-to-day in-house accounting tasks. This is a permanent position based at their Crawley office.
Job Description
- Raising Sales Invoices and chasing overdue payments
- Processing Subcontractor invoices including CIS deductions, VAT reverse charge
- Processing Purchase Invoices including Proforma payments. Knowledge of different tax codes essential.
- Reconciling month end supplier statements and preparing payments.
- Run and prepare quarterly VAT returns through Sage 50 Accounts.
- Run weekly payroll. This includes pensions, submissions to HMRC, maternity pay and statutory pay on Sage 50 Payroll
- Complete monthly Payment of CIS, PAYE, Corporation Tax.
- Run various reports through Sage 50 Accounts at the Directors request.
- Producing weekly cash flow forecasts and implementing monthly management accounts.
The Successful Applicant
- Previous work experience in financial sector.
- Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
- Knowledge of VAT returns and year end accounts.
