Job description

Are you experienced in providing professional engineering support to site teams to deliver KPIs, maintenance improvements, and meet engineering operational requirements in line with legal and company obligations? If so, we could have the perfect role for you!

We have an exciting, full-time permanent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our client based at Beckton Combined Heat and Intelligent Power Plant (CHiP).

The role offers an attractive salary and benefits package working for a Company with over 25 years’ experience providing operations management, engineering services and energy management solutions.

You will be:

• Included in the Duty Manager rota
• Providing technical support and training including that of the EC&I Technician
• Fully managing the site DCS and associated alarms including reviews, flood analysis and associated contractors
• Managing and delivering planned, unplanned maintenance and overhaul programmes to the site
• Ensuring the CHiP retains compliant ATEX/ DSEAR and adherence to IEC 61511 and IEC 61508 and other business, safety and legislative codes and regulatory requirements
• Improving plant reliability processes and delivering projects whilst actively supporting and implementing plant safety schemes
• Managing long term service contracts to ensure financial goals are met
• Reporting and managing provision and receipt of contractor purchase orders, allocated cost centres and financial forecasting
• Promoting procedures within the site, ensuring technical documentation protocols
• Ensuring assigned systems are complaint with the ISO system while providing maintenance

You will need:

• HNC qualification in an electrical or control and instrumentation engineering discipline
• Experience successfully contributing to all aspects of a 24/7 process including contracts, legislation compliance, management and maintenance, operations interface, system upgrades and improvements, contractor and customer relationships and project and budget delivery
• Experience with EC&I methods and standards, plant equipment and material, SHEQ systems and computerised MMS
