Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant in this alternative provision, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools. The primary focus of the role is to assist in managing and guiding students with diverse needs, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and tailored lessons.
• Collaborate with the teaching staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational experience.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal and academic development.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (or 4:30 pm)

Remuneration:

Competitive daily rate of pay ranging from £78 to £90, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within an alternative provision setting.
• Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
• Passionate about providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Relevant qualifications and certifications in education or related fields.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
