£26.34 - £34.49 per hour (PAYE / LTD)
QUALIFICATIONS:
-NEBOSH Fire Safety Management certificate or equivalent fire
safety manaqement or enqineerinq qualification
- Fire door inspection certification, inspector or a minimum
diploma
- Passive fire stoppinq certification, inspector or a Diploma
-The role is within the fire safety team as a surveyor and an inspector of fire safety projects
Key responsibilities:
-The responsibility of the Fire Surveyor/inspector will be to work closely with one or more Project Managers.
-All services provided need to be in line with recognised professional standards, ie.
ARB, RIBA and RICS and internal regulations and procedures
• Effectively project manage a range of housing refurbishment projects, maintaining clear communications with members of the project team, managers and other staff,
contractors and residents.
-Provide a surveying service including undertaking Fire Door
assessments and inspections and providing Client Inspection Reports for Senior
Management.
• To produce and develop specifications and schedule of works resulting from the
actions identified in the fire risk assessment programme in accordance with
regulatory standards and best practice.
• To ensure the actions from the fire risk assessment programme are closed off,
quality assured and audited in compliance with regulatory standards and Council
policy.
• To carry out compartmentation inspections identified from the fire risk assessment
programme to ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order,
Fire Safety Act and Health and Safety requirements.
• To assist the Fire Safety team to develop processes for the management, delivery,
and completion of findings from the fire risk assessment process to meet the
regulatory standards.
• To manage in house and external contractor performance including quality control of standards and workmanship, approving valuations and practical completion.
• To liaise with the Major Works, Repairs and the New Build Delivery teams and
provide technical support regarding fire improvement works and the latest relevant
standards required to enable works to be designed and delivered.
• To produce and review data on KPI to inform proactive inspections and remedial
programmes
