Job description
Our client is looking for a New Business Development. They require candidates who thrive on developing new business opportunities across multiple different technology sectors and will become comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers in large and medium size technology and component supply companies in the automotive manufacturing world and other specialist sectors, chemicals, materials and energy suppliers and manufacturers worldwide.

Job specification:
- Proactively deliver the show strategy across new and existing businesses.
- Build a pipeline of potential customers.
- Nurture and develop a new customer base, delivering sales for the show.
- Work to KPI’s of activity and deliver on tracked revenue goals for the business.
- Maintaining and updating floorplans for real-time view of the show.
- Manage personal sales, pipelines, and administration.
- Visit and canvas at competitor and industry events to monitor competitors.
- Listen to customer requirements and present solutions for sales.
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
- Arrange meetings with potential customers to drive sales.
- Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries promptly.
- Negotiate terms of agreements and close sales deals.
- Address objections and challenges to facilitate sales.
- Create detailed written proposals and submit them to new and existing customers.
- Attend sales and personal development training sessions.
Person specification:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in events or a trade show industry.
- Ability to effectively sell exhibition stands and sponsorships.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to analyse trends and identify potential commercial opportunities.
- Experience in building and nurturing a pipeline of potential customers.
- Capability to work to KPI’s of activity and deliver on tracked revenue goals for the business.
- Strong Presentation and negotiation skills with excellent consultative sales and closing capabilities.
