The Team:
Global Markets Credit is a team of 100+ people and are responsible for ensuring robust and consistent credit underwriting for Global Markets lending activities, particularly on a non-recourse basis. This includes underwriting Structured Financing Transactions, Non-Recourse Lending to SPVs, Specialty Finance, Hedge Funds and Regulated Funds (Real-Money Accounts), Central Counterparties (CCPs) and Municipal Banking and Markets.
Role Description:
You will be responsible for supporting Credit Officers on a daily basis in the underwriting, monitoring and management of their portfolios. The end-to-end process involves credit underwriting, ongoing monitoring and portfolio management of financing, treasury management and traded products transactions. You will act as a primary liaison with credit officers, operations and other business partners.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate pre and post-closing activities which may include due diligence activities, creation of approval documents and interaction with operations
Responsible for monitoring requirements by monitoring and working with the credit officers to onboard new funds
Identify and resolves data quality issues
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
Understand policy and procedures to ensure compliance
What we are looking for:
Institutional banking experience and risk knowledge of trading products
Good communication skills, with the ability to be concise to influence business partners and stakeholders
To be able to quickly absorb and follow credit policies and procedures
Organisational skills with an ability to work to ensure commitment deadlines are met
Technical skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Skills that will help:
Credit risk experience on regulated/mutual funds
Formal credit risk training
